Many companies are now offering some kind of job flexibility and allowing their employees to work from home at least part of the time, and with that in mind we are here today to offer some top tips to allow those employees to ensure that they are able to stay both physically and mentally fit.

Whilst working from home offers several amazing benefits and advantages, the change in routine can be hard for some people to adapt to initially and therefore it is vital that they focus on keeping their mental and physical wellbeing up.

Top Tips

Separate Work and Personal Space – You need to designate a certain area of your home to be your workspace and let others in your households know that they can’t disrupt you whilst you’re there.

Plan your Meals – You need to ensure that you are eating healthily whilst you’re working and having nutritious meals instead of snacking constantly. The best way to do this is by planning and prepping your daytime meals the night before.

Exercise before Work – Do 30 minutes cardio before you start work each day, whether this be going on a light run or simply following a YouTube workout video.

Take Breaks – Take the same breaks as you would if you were in the office, it is important to stick to a routine and have breaks.

Keep in Touch – Try and keep in touch with colleagues when working remembering that whilst you’re not physically with them, they are still available to help and support you.
