A leading creative communications agency is seeking an experienced Senior Account Director to join its growing, collaborative team. This role involves working with purpose-driven clients, including charities, NGOs, and socially responsible businesses, to deliver high-impact public affairs campaigns that influence public behaviour, raise awareness, and support sustainability initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience across public affairs and sustainability campaigns, as well as a proven track record in stakeholder engagement. They should possess strong leadership skills, the ability to perform under pressure, and a genuine passion for using communication to drive positive change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage account teams, overseeing delivery across multiple client accounts
  • Build, maintain, and engage with key stakeholders, including politicians and influencers
  • Develop and implement public affairs and sustainability strategies that drive behaviour change and raise awareness
  • Track and report campaign progress through regular updates and reports
  • Engage with media to amplify client messages
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals
  • Support colleague development and provide strategic guidance

Requirements

  • Minimum six years’ agency experience in public affairs, including sustainability-focused campaigns
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement across public, private, and third-sector audiences
  • Strong interest in politics, ideally with a parliamentary network
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client management and leadership abilities
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to learning and development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
