About TNFD

TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) is a pioneering initiative supported by both government and science, aimed at guiding companies and financial institutions in integrating considerations of nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities into their operational frameworks. The ultimate objective of TNFD is to facilitate a redirection of global financial flows towards nature-positive outcomes, following established practices of disclosures in mainstream financial reporting. The TNFD plays a pivotal role in the Sustainable Finance roadmap of the G20, focusing on enhancing corporate reporting and risk management practices.

The TNFD recently unveiled its nature-related disclosure recommendations, culminating from an extensive two-year design and development effort involving various stakeholders globally. With the launch of these recommendations, TNFD is now dedicated to assisting report preparers in initiating nature-related identification, assessment, management, and disclosure activities. Looking ahead, TNFD aims to enhance market participant access to quality, timely, and comparable nature-related data to facilitate better assessment and reporting practices.
