International Public and Media Relations Manager

About the role:

Our client is seeking an International Public and Media Relations Manager to play a crucial role in enhancing the brand's reach, recognition, and engagement. This individual will focus on elevating awareness among clients, prospects, and stakeholders across international, national, trade, and social media platforms.

Please note: You need to have US media experience! This is essential.

You will lead, plan, develop, and manage US media activities in collaboration with the PR agency and global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Upholding a positive public image of the brand across various sectors and areas of the business.
  • Securing positive coverage and positioning products/services in diverse media outlets.
  • Strengthening the brand's presence in international media, particularly in the US.
  • Crafting high-quality articles, press releases, and collateral.
  • Supporting the PR team/agency with reputational and crisis management.
  • Managing press office inquiries and liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • Cultivating media contacts and driving thought leadership coverage.
  • Developing, managing, and measuring the impact of PR campaigns aligned with commercial strategies.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Contributing to the development of media policies and messaging consistency.
  • Building relationships with key partners and effectively communicating campaign goals to senior executives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated PR experience with strong media relations skills.
  • Extensive experience working within the US market - US media connections, etc.
  • Track record of successful campaign development and execution.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media usage.
  • Strong networking abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in managing reputational issues.
