Our client is a prominent distributor of off-grid energy in the UK, operating as part of a larger FTSE 100 company. With over 30 years of experience, they specialize in providing energy solutions to commercial customers and are committed to leading the energy transition, focusing on offering lower carbon and cleaner solutions to customers, with a vision to provide 100% renewable solutions by 2040.

About the Role

The National Contracts Manager will be an integral part of the National Contracts Team, responsible for delivering consultative selling to manage existing clients, securing new business opportunities, and driving equipment sales through energy partners to support customers on their journey to net zero.

The role offers a lot of further growth opportunities, with a competitive based salary of £32-38k + Commission (quarterly) + company incentives + company car

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day account activities for existing clients.
  • Ensure profitable retention of existing clients by renegotiating contracts.
  • Monitor and adhere to mid-term price adjustments.
  • Identify and onboard new commercial energy customers.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions from initial sales leads to installations and first deliveries.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Work closely with partners to provide comprehensive energy solutions to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all business procedures and authorizations.

Essential

  • Proven experience in managing complex customers and industries – B2B
  • Strong self-motivation and time management skills.
  • Understanding of consultative-based selling techniques.
  • Ability to achieve targets and maintain margins.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and financial data understanding.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Experience in highly autonomous roles.
  • Full valid UK driving license.
