NEW PR Account Director - Trade Communications – Food & Drink

Salary: Up to c.£50k-£55k We can discuss. Will depend on level & experience. 

Our client, a dynamic PR and social media agency, specialising in the food, drink, travel, lifestyle, and environment sectors are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and well-connected Account Director with robust trade experience. With a focus on leading several major accounts, the ideal candidate will excel at crafting insight-driven communication strategies that fuel the development of captivating creative campaigns.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the trade media landscape, particularly in foodservice, retail, and grocery.
  • 5-6 years of experience in Public Relations or a similar industry. PR agency experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in digital campaigns within a Public Relations environment.
  • In-depth understanding of clients’ businesses and the wider industry.
  • They are ideally seeking an established AD, but they would also consider SAM candidates ready for the step up to AD.

  • Proficient in finance and budgetary planning and execution.
  • Strong ability to negotiate favourable terms for clients.
  • Deep understanding of clients’ industries and markets.
  • Experienced in managing business strategies and P&L responsibilities.

  • Creative and innovative in developing new ideas.

  • Proficient in sharing knowledge within the team.
  • Excellent planning and presentation abilities.
  • Skilled in team building and managing resources.
  • Capable of effectively delegating tasks.
