Excellent progression opportunities | Independent agency | Flexible working
Are you an ambitious PR Account Manager or Senior Account Manager looking for more ownership, greater flexibility and genuine opportunities to progress?
We're working exclusively with an award-winning, independent strategic communications agency that's entering an exciting new chapter of growth.
Established for nearly 15 years, this specialist consultancy works with some fascinating organisations across technology, AI, data, science, research and higher education, helping them turn complex subjects into compelling stories that make a real impact.
With ambitious plans to double in size over the next 12–24 months, they're looking for a talented Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join their close-knit team and play an important role in the agency's future.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys agency life but wants to move away from rigid hierarchies, take real ownership of their work and have a genuine say in how a business develops.
The role
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of interesting client accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic communications and PR activity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Leading account activity, overseeing project delivery, timelines and budgets.
- Developing engaging written content, including press materials, thought leadership, strategic documents and client reports.
- Identifying compelling stories and pitching to relevant media.
- Managing and supporting junior colleagues and freelance team members, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard.
- Reviewing and editing written materials, providing constructive feedback and maintaining quality across accounts.
- Contributing creative ideas, strategic thinking and solutions to client challenges.
- Identifying opportunities to develop existing accounts and supporting new business activity.
About you
We're keen to hear from Senior Account Managers or ambitious Account Managers who are ready to take the next step in their careers.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Experience within a PR or communications agency, ideally across B2B technology, corporate communications or other specialist technical/complex sectors.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging, accessible content.
- Solid media relations experience, including identifying and pitching stories.
- Confidence managing clients, building relationships and overseeing account delivery.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude and a creative, solutions-focused approach.
- A genuine interest in technology, innovation, science, research or wider societal issues.
- A collaborative personality and an appetite to learn, develop and take on more responsibility.
You don't need to be a technology expert, but you should be intellectually curious, enjoy getting to grips with specialist subjects and feel comfortable working with knowledgeable senior stakeholders.
Experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work would also be beneficial.
Why join?
