We’re working with a fast-growing, independent B2B and corporate communications consultancy to find an experienced Account Manager, Senior Account Manager or Account Director to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong media operator who thrives in a B2B/Corporate agency environment and enjoys working on complex, high-profile client programmes.
The Role
This is a replacement hire and a key role within the business. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day client activity, coordinating integrated programmes that may include campaign sell-ins, client advisory work, content creation and thought leadership.
Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll also manage and coach junior team members, ensuring work is delivered to a consistently high standard while helping to develop talent around you.
Depending on level, this role can suit someone stepping up or someone already operating confidently at senior or director level.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Consultancy
- Act as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients
- Build strong relationships across client organisations
- Lead meetings, present confidently and advise on programme activity
- Coordinate monthly activity, KPIs, trackers and WIPs
- Spot and proactively manage risks to accounts
Programme Delivery & Media Strategy
- Develop and deliver integrated media and digital strategies
- Lead campaign planning and execution across channels
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with key media
- Support clients with social and digital strategy, trends and best practice
- Use analytics to measure performance and optimise campaigns
Content & Thought Leadership
- Write high-quality copy across formats and platforms
- Brief, edit and feedback on content produced by junior team members
- Lead research and insight generation to support media and content outputs
- Support proposals, strategy papers and presentations
Account Growth & New Business
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
- Support new business pitches and proposal development
- Attend industry events and act as an ambassador for the agency
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Delegate effectively and manage workloads
- Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback
- Manage upwards, keeping senior stakeholders informed
Commercial & Financial Awareness
- Support budget creation and resource planning
- Monitor profitability and flag over-servicing risks
- Manage third-party costs and approvals
About You
- Experience in a B2B or Corporate PR agency environment
- A confident media operator with solid client-facing experience
- Excellent copywriting skills across multiple formats and platforms
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Able to grasp and clearly articulate complex topics
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
