Senior Communications Manager - Higher Education

World renowned science and technology HE provider is looking for a senior Communications Manager. Your aim will be to drive all communication outreach and marketing. creating and developing a communications strategy which covers internal and external comms activity. This role is offered on a hybrid model basis 3 days in office 2 days out. The aim of the role is to develop and maintain the communications channels, including social media channels, website newsletters and news alerts. You will also communicate the education programmes and co-ordinate and manage high profile events and seminars both externally and internally.

Essential requirements

  • 5 + years proven experience of working in communications role ideally with a university or HE provider.
  • An under graduate or postgraduate degree in any STEM discipline or equivalent experience
  • specific science or tech communications experience is highly desirable.
  • Broad scientific/technical competence
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Good interpersonal skills and confidence in forming effective working relationships with a broad range of people, including working as part of a team
  • Ability to take the initiative, and prioritise a dynamic workload effectively
  • Ability to work in office 3 days out of 5
