My client, a multi-award-winning communications consultancy, is looking for a new Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join their Financial & Corporate PR team!

  • Location: Central London. Working from home 2 days per week, and 3 in the office.
  • Salary: c£23,000 - £32,000 (depending on level and experience)

My clients sector strengths include financial and professional services, technology, alternative investments, natural resources, healthcare and security, and they have been top-ranked for over a decade in its areas of specialism.

The ideal candidate:

  • Someone who is able to hit the ground running!
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1.5 years experience at a reputable PR agency
  • Previous experience working with listed companies, on IPOs or day-to-day listed communications is ideal.
  • Comfortable working across a portfolio of both listed and unlisted clients

Specific responsibilities:

  • Working closely to support account leaders and establish relationships with corresponding client team members.
  • Management of press cuttings and media databases, compiling and formatting daily media coverage for clients.
  • Submitting press releases and compliance management.
  • Assisting and providing meaningful contributions to communications programmes.
  • Proofreading and drafting materials, such as press releases and presentations, for internal, client and external audiences that require minimal amendments.
  • Coordinating client events and press days.
  • Working pragmatically on own initiative.
  • Conducting background research and helping with new business pitches.
  • Sourcing and analysing market intelligence for clients.
  • Administration of account logistics, including generating all supporting documents and maintaining all collateral materials (i.e. agendas, meeting notes, media database, distribution lists, briefing packs, share price monitoring).
  • Networking – maintaining and growing relevant media and corporate advisory contacts.
  • Training and broadening of skills set.

Skills needed:

  • Committed to delivering work of the highest quality.
  • Confident, resourceful and entrepreneurial.
  • Good communication skills, including forming relationships, writing and presenting.
  • High attention to detail and an analytical approach.
  • Financial literacy, understanding of capital markets and listed companies’ regulatory responsibilities.
  • Good understanding of financial and corporate communications and the communication delivery channels to various client stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Creative mindset with an ability to identify good story-selling opportunities.
  • Good understanding of business media and the financial and corporate communications landscape.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workstreams; calm under pressure.
