Client Services: Tech Communications — Remote

An agency-wide leadership role for a senior communications operator who knows what brilliant client service looks like and has the judgement and authority to hold a whole client base to that standard.
This is a growing remote communications consultancy working with founders and investors across the technology sector AI, fintech, deep tech and enterprise software. The team is tight and high-performing, the work moves quickly, and client relationships sit at the centre of everything. This role exists to make sure those relationships are consistently excellent.
You'll oversee the portfolio and ask the hard questions across every account: is the thinking sharp enough, is the team proactive enough, are the media angles strong enough, are we close enough to clients and serving their business goals?
About the role
- Own the standard of client service across the agency, making sure clients feel valued, understood and supported
- Keep a clear view of the health and direction of key accounts
- Spot and flag potential issues early, before they become client problems
- Drive stronger editorial thinking across accounts
- Make sure each account has a clear direction rooted in the client's business, market and growth stage, rather than just a list of tasks
- Lead regular, honest account reviews and act as the escalation point when an account is under pressure
- Help improve retention and spot sensible opportunities to grow relationships
About you
- At least six or seven years' agency experience in tech or communications PR
- Meaningful exposure to the early-stage technology ecosystem and a strong understanding of founders and startups
- The seniority and self-assurance to back your own judgement and own client quality across an agency
- A track record of advising senior clients, founders and investors and earning their confidence
- Someone who cares about the quality of the work, not just whether it shipped
